A Sustainable Impact Initiative under “අපේ හෙට – Tomorrow Is Ours”
At Ideal Motors, we believe that building a better tomorrow begins with protecting lives and empowering the next generation. Through our sustainability initiative, “මඟ සුරකිමු – දිවි රැකගමු” (Safe Roads – Save Lives), we are committed to promoting road safety awareness among schoolchildren and helping create safer communities across Sri Lanka.
As an automotive company with more than 100,000 vehicles on Sri Lankan roads, Ideal Motors recognises that its responsibility extends beyond providing mobility solutions. It also includes encouraging responsible road use, raising awareness of road safety, and contributing to the protection of lives.
Building Road Safety Awareness from an Early Age
With road traffic accidents continuing to be a significant concern, educating children about road safety from an early age is essential. Through this initiative, Ideal Motors aims to equip schoolchildren in communities surrounding its business locations with the knowledge and awareness needed to make safer decisions on the road.
The programme supports the development of responsible road users by encouraging children to become safer pedestrians, develop an understanding of road safety practices, and carry these lessons into their everyday lives.
A Meaningful Connection with the Ideal Family
Our recent road safety awareness programme at WP/GM/Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya holds special significance for the Ideal Family. The school is also the alma mater of one of our female team members, creating a personal connection that makes this initiative even more meaningful.
This connection reflects the spirit behind our community engagement efforts: caring for the communities around us, strengthening relationships, and creating opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Investing in a Safer Tomorrow
Through “අපේ හෙට – Tomorrow Is Ours,” Ideal Motors continues to support initiatives that empower children and contribute to the long-term well-being of our communities.
We believe sustainability goes beyond environmental responsibility. It also means protecting lives, promoting awareness, strengthening communities, and investing in a safer future for generations to come.
Through “මඟ සුරකිමු – දිවි රැකගමු,” we reaffirm our commitment to making road safety a shared responsibility and helping build a culture where every road user understands the value of protecting life.
Because every child deserves a safe journey, and every life matters.
